Is medical malpractice a criminal act?

Medical malpractice is a legal course of action. Now some medical malpractice case may have involved or resulted in death of patient. And it may come up in tm the light during the proper investigation of a death, which may have proved natural or accidental.

 

Sometimes during the course of action of investigation an act of medical malpractice can also constitute to a criminal act. This is exactly what happened in the case of the death of the great singer and dancer Michael Jackson. When is physician doctor had charged and sentenced for two year jail.

 

When Michael Jackson died on June 25, 2009, Conrad Robert Murray was his personal physician.

Conrad Robert Murray who is a Grenadian cardiologist and was born on February 19, 1953, he was the personal physician of Michael Jackson at the time of the singer's death on June 25, 2009, in which he was implicated. Murray was subsequently charged and convicted for involuntary manslaughter and served a two-year jail sentence. On June 25, 2009, only weeks after hiring Murray, Michael Jackson died due to a lethal dose of propofol administered by Murray. Jackson's death was ruled a homicide; Murray admitted administering 25 mg of propofol intravenously, for insomnia, on the night of his death.
